Release your HeART is a series of images, featuring soft sculptures of threatened Southeast Asian species. In Mae’s own words the series “alludes to certain threats that endanger [these species] and are slowly beginning to endanger us as well – such as plastic/garbage pollution. The work draws connections between the endangered state of these species and our situation today”.
