NATALIA JIDOVANU KENYA
For Future Generations: Guardians of Wilderness (WIP) is a reportage-style photo story documenting the challenges Nairobi National Park faces along its boundaries and migratory corridors. In Natalia’s own words “My project will explore the dynamics surrounding high competition for land, food and water resources between wildlife from the park, livestock and humans.”
Natalia Jidovanu is an Independent Moldovan-Portuguese Multimedia Journalist and Visual Consultant based in Nairobi, Kenya. Working in the East African region since 2014, she has documented gender, forced displacement and social inequality issues. An avid defender of participatory methods to foster dialogue and change, Natalia is also an experienced Participatory Photography Consultant, having designed and managed participatory projects with diverse groups in Kenya and Somalia. She is a member of The International Press Association of East Africa, Women Photograph and Frontline Freelance Register.
