Hahnemühle Photo Rag Bright White Paper - 310gsm.
Raw materials: Hahnemühle produces 100% cotton paper from linters which are short, valuable fibres of cotton seeds that are by-products of the textile and oil industry. No extra cotton is planted to produce this paper.
Water: The paper-machine circuit in which Hahnemühle produces their papers is closed as much as possible; the waste water is free from chemical cleaning agents, biocides and preservatives and is returned to nature, in a strictly controlled process.
Energy: Hahnemühle covers all electricity requirements through renewable sources, such as wind, water and solar energy, thus sustainably reducing CO2 emissions. Steam and heat is produced using natural gas and thanks to the waste-heat recovery system furnace emissions are considerably below the legal limits, by more than 40%.

Hahnemühle’s Bamboo paper - 290gsm.
Hahnemühle’s Bamboo paper offers the same sustainable and environmentally sensitive water and energy production values described above and is made from 90% bamboo fibres and 10% cotton. Bamboo produces a considerable biomass which binds a lot of CO2 making it carbon neutral. It has a quicker turnaround time than trees meaning that more cellulose can be produced on the same cropland. No pesticides are required and little water for cultivation making it a resource-saving option helping to save valuable resources and protect the environment. Offering an environmentally friendly acid, lignum and OBA free (Optical Brightening Agents) free option.
A share of the profits from Hahnemühle’s Natural Line papers contribute to environmental and climate protection efforts including reforestation, species protection, ocean clean-up projects, biodiversity conservation campaigns and educational programmes.
